Akshaya S

Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology (HICET), Coimbatore was established in the year 2000 by the Industrialist and Philanthropist, Thiru. T S R Khannaiyann of Hindusthan Educational Trust. From the outside, the college seem to be a famous and prestigious institutions in Coimbatore, but the truth seems to be different from what is seen outward. Let’s find out!

According to the majority of student reviews, the management of Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology provides insufficient assistance, which puts students in difficult situations. Students from other states endure the most as a result of the administration’s lack of support. The college staff is unconcerned about the requirements of the students and is unwilling to address them. Even after numerous complaints, management has stated that they will take action, but the reality is that they have never taken action. Students have grown tired of asking that management meet their needs and have given up requesting due to its dormancy.

Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology’s infrastructure is also average, with few problems but few high-quality amenities. The college also professes to have an anti-drug campus, but students still face the risk of encountering drugs because the campus is not completely drug free. Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology’s hostel amenities are also subpar. The food is subpar, and students must make do with what is available, which primarily impacts students from other states.

The institute’s education is also deteriorating as a result of unqualified employees. Only a few of the faculty members have the necessary qualifications to instruct engineering students, and many others joined the faculty after completing their post-graduate studies. These faculty members are unable to meet the necessary teaching standards and educate the students effectively. They merely concentrate on completing portions on time in order to keep their record. This is the general state of Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, and it is not what is visible from the outside.
