Admission Scam: 891 students admitted without NEET in Ayush colleges in UP suspended
By Abhishek Mishra: The state government suspended 891 students from Uttar Pradesh Ayush colleges for taking admission without scoring the necessary cut-off marks in NEET. The suspension notices for these students have been put up outside the colleges.
CM Yogi Adityanath ordered that FIR and strict action should not be taken against the suspended students. Earlier on Monday, the Yogi government had sent the matter to the CBI. Departmental action instructions have also been issued.
Ayush Minister Daya Shankar Mishra in the UP government said, “All those children whose admission was faulty, have been suspended. In this case, the acting director, Professor Dr. SN Singh, and Umakant Yadav, the officer in charge of the Directorate of Education have also been suspended.”
ACTION AGAINST OFFICIALS
Apart from this, departmental action has also been directed against Dr. Mohammad Waseem, the officer-in-charge of the Directorate of Unani, and Vijay Pushkar, the acting joint director of the Directorate of Homeopathy.
A case had been registered by the Department of Ayush in Hazratganj Kotwali of the capital Lucknow two days ago.
